Product privacy notice
ViewOps data use, in plain language.
Effective 15 October 2026. This notice describes the signed ViewOps service used by the Private and Marketplace editions, and the optional support conversation on these pages.
Data ViewOps accesses
Inside Zendesk, ViewOps reads the active view definitions, titles, descriptions, restrictions, conditions, execution columns and ticket counts available to the signed-in agent. It also reads the verified Zendesk hostname, numeric user ID and numeric app installation ID supplied through Zendesk’s signed launch.
Data CRM Scene stores
CRM Scene stores the verified tenant hostname, numeric user ID, product section, revision metadata and the agent’s ViewOps preferences. Preference values can contain collection names, saved view IDs, search text, pins, recents, theme, layout, grouping and page-size choices. A temporary browser cache can hold pending preference changes during an outage.
Data CRM Scene does not store
The preference service does not store ticket content, ticket count results, full Zendesk view definitions, agent names, agent email addresses or customer identities. Operational logs record route, status, edition, location and access outcome without tenant, user, installation or preference values.
Support conversation widget
The CRM Scene Zendesk Messaging widget is optional and does not load when this page first opens. It loads only after you choose a “Chat with CRM Scene” control. Zendesk then processes the conversation and technical data required to provide the messaging service. You can use email support instead.
Purpose and legal basis
The data is used to authenticate ViewOps, enforce the applicable edition’s access model, display Zendesk views, synchronize agent preferences, protect the service and support requested troubleshooting. CRM Scene processes this data to perform the ViewOps service agreement and to protect the service’s legitimate security and operational interests.
Infrastructure and subprocessors
Zendesk supplies the signed app context, Marketplace billing controls, source view data and optional support messaging. Stripe processes Marketplace payments for CRM Scene through Zendesk’s payment integration. Cloudflare provides the Worker, Private-edition KV entitlement storage, D1 preference storage, routing and operational logs. Data can be processed in the regions used by these providers and is subject to their applicable safeguards.
Retention and deletion
Preference rows remain until the authenticated agent deletes them or a verified customer request is completed. Uninstalling ViewOps does not automatically delete synchronized preferences. CRM Scene completes verified deletion requests within 30 days and removes all four preference sections for the authenticated agent; tenant-wide deletion is handled as an authorized operational request. Billing, contractual and support-conversation records can be retained separately where required by law or the applicable support policy.
Your choices
Agents may request deletion from inside an authenticated ViewOps session through CRM Scene support. Zendesk administrators may request scoped account deletion after ownership verification. Contact support@crmscene.com for access, correction, deletion or privacy questions.
